Getting Started: Welcome Week
- A part of the overall orientation experience, Welcome
Week is designed to introduce students to their new surroundings, to IUs
learning community, and also to IUs vast support resources. During Welcome
Week, students meet faculty, staff, and other students and partake in a great
combination of fun and informational activities.
From the ceremonial Freshman Induction Ceremony, the celebratory CultureFest
and the exciting Traditions and Spirit, new students get a sense
of being a part of something very special. Open Houses, tours, academic meetings,
and more help students learn about the people, places and resources of Indiana
University.
No matter how familiar or unfamiliar you are with the campus before becoming
a student, you will be glad you participated in Welcome Week. Its a
must-attend for everyone.
